Randolphs commends the unnamed author of an advice column for women but explains that she does not understand the situation in the south where "the immorality of this [freed] people transcends belief" and points out that "If the North would take the testimony of refined Southerners instead of gloating over the imaginary wrongs of a long-sufferiing people there would be less Ku-Kluxing and greater prosperity."
